Mike Nichols

Mike Nichols, the director of one of my three favorite films (The Graduate) is appearing tomorrow night at Riverspace Arts in Nyack. I bought a pair of tickets a few months ago.

The appearance is a rare one for Nichols, who doesn't often talk about his work. He'll be interviewed by A&E's Elliot Forrest as part of the Conversations at Riverspace series. I've attended two other events in this series and they are really fantastic. They are mixture of interview, conversation, and presentation. I'm sure they will talk about Spamalot, Working Girl, Silkwood, and others, but I really just want to hear most about The Graduate. Nichols has won an Oscar, a Tony, a Grammy, and an Emmy. He's an incredibly talented director and I can't wait to hear him talk about his work.

Now that my date doesn't want to go. I have a spare ticket and a cold.

The show is tomorrow (Friday) at 8pm if someone wants the ticket and my cold.
